The first person to correctly identify the exact location of '197 #1', my most recent addition to 'The Sunset Series', will receive a signed and numbered reproduction worth $125. This reproduction was printed using the Epson 118860 inkjet printer which sets the standard for fine art digital printing. Archival quality Epson Ultrachrome inks were matched with Halnemuhle Museum Etching watercolor paper. This reproduction is 60 percent of original size.
Michael was one of three artists selected to participate in the Art in the Pearl Fine Arts and Crafts Festival Emerging Artist Program. This program, introduced at Art in the Pearl this year, gives new artists the opportunity to showcase their talents. It was open to visual artists living in Oregon and Washington. There was an overwhelming response to this new category and it is a tribute to Michael's talent and vision to have been selected by a jury of professional artists. Art in the Pearl is ranked in the top 25 fine art events nationwide by the Art Fair Sourcebook.
Michael was interviewed by Nicole Sidoreus, editor of Sunshine Artist magazine, for a featured article entitled 'Where are the new artists?'
